Herbal Medicine

When Penny sees a client she goes through a total case history, asking questions about all body systems, diet, lifestyle and stresses in life. She also uses iridology. A diagnosis is made based on the data gathered which can also lead to what the overall underlying cause could be.

She then prescribes liquid herbs, tablets or capsules. The prescription is then reviewed at 4-6 weekly intervals until a satisfactory result is achieved.

Diet may need to be altered, a detoxification programme started and ways to reduce stress considered too. It is a total wellness issue.

Herbs can be used to treat many diseases particularly chronic ones such as, osteoarthritis, digestive disorders, asthma and atherosclerosis. There are also excellent herbs for treating stress, particularly with our fast pace of life and the many hats we have to juggle i.e. work, family, home and social life. Getting the right balance in life is the challenge!

Penny has worked over the years in a medical centre, in an osteopathic clinic and thirdly in a multidisciplinary centre working with people from different health modalities.
